Andrea Marincic Mervis

The Mervis and Marincic families are heartbroken to announce the death of Andrea Marincic Mervis, 66 of West Mifflin, PA. Andrea is survived by her devoted husband, Michael, her sister, Sandy Marincic, her brother Bob Marincic (Ellen Shackelford) and her nephews Mick and Roarke Marincic. Andrea died peacefully in her sleep after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. She remained her sweet, thoughtful, optimistic and cheerful self to the end.

She graduated from Norwin High School in 1979 and spent 3 years in the US Navy, followed by many years working in various jobs, including assistant store manager at GNC.

Andrea was the most kind and thoughtful person we have ever known. She was generous and loving and only had to meet you once to embrace you as her friend. She could find something to chat about with anyone. She loved ghost hunting and music and cats. She was proud of her home and her husband, who she said was the best thing in her life.

We recently asked her how she would like to be remembered and she told us “As somebody who was nice. Somebody who was kind. Somebody who everybody liked.” And that is exactly how we will remember her.
