Walter A. Bolbat, 102, of Monroeville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2022 in St. Margaret’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Katheryn (Futryk) Bolbat to whom he was married 41 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, May 2, 1919, Walter was the son of the late Alexander and Mary (Sandusky) Bolbat. Loving father of Gregory, Gary (Debra) Bolbat, Bruce (Deborah) Bolbat and Janice (Paul) Harris. Dear Grandfather of Heather (Shawn) Krah, Gary John (Kourtney) Bolbat, Christopher & Bryan Bolbat, Laura (Benjamin) Czar, Andrea Harris & Lauren (Jeffrey) Tice. Great-Grandfather of Alexander, Mykhaila, Charlotte & Conor Krah, Adalynn, Lucy, Arabella & Lincoln Bolbat and Zoe Czar. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II spending his enlistment in the South Pacific. Walter was employed at Shoe Corporation of America for over 40 years before retiring. Walter was an amazing grandfather and great-grandfather who brought happiness and funny moments to all who were in his company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, vacations, and dancing. He especially liked to make people laugh. His heart was full of love and care for his family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his friend Janet McGrady. Walter was a member of St. Michaels Orthodox Church of Rankin PA.
