
Julia M. Leader, age 97, of East McKeesport, passed to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was born on June 1, 1929 to Frank and Josephine (Moff) Carrier in Pitcairn, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph “Ken” Leader, Jr. Sister to the late Lucy Hamas and Florence Johns.
Julia was a dedicated and active member of St. John Lutheran Church. Julia loved spending time with her family, cooking, especially pizzelles, volunteering for many years at multiple organizations, corresponding with friends and family with cards in her beautiful handwriting, and playing bingo.
Julia will be remembered as a strong and loving mother by Sherri (Paul) Janov of North Huntingdon, Joseph “Ken” (Susan) Leader, III of The Villages, FL and William (Darlene) Leader of North Huntingdon. Loving sister to Ella Mae Trovy and Frank Carrier.
Cherished grandma (Gigi) to Joshua (Natalie) Janov, Jason (Lauree) Janov, Seth (Michelle Hartzell) Janov and Billy (Courtney) Leader and Dominic (Halee) Leader. Great grandmother of 10. Also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday July 19, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at . . .
