Kathleen O’Donnell, age 76, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 9, 1950, Kathleen was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many. She shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John O’Donnell, whose love and companionship were the foundation of her life.
Kathleen was the proud mother of John P. O’Donnell Jr. (Michelle) and the adoring grandmother of Ashley (Terrance) Johnson. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family, creating lasting memories, and caring for those she loved most.
She is also survived by her sister, Deljo Gannon, along with many extended family members, friends, and neighbors who will miss her deeply.
A faithful member of St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak, Kathleen lived her life guided by faith, kindness, and compassion. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and welcoming home. An exceptional cook and baker, Kathleen delighted in preparing meals for family gatherings and was especially famous for her homemade cookies, baked goods, and her much-loved chicken parmesan. Her kitchen was often the center of family celebrations, where everyone felt welcome and loved.
Kathleen found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—cooking, baking, spending time with loved ones, and making sure everyone around her was cared for. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and the center of her world.
Though her passing leaves a tremendous void, her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Kathleen will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends forever.
