Leonard D. Topley, Sr.

Leonard D. Sr, age 83, of North Versailles passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday March 4, 2026.  Son of the late Leonard J. and Katherine (Lee) Topley.  Beloved husband of Patricia Orr Topley.  Loving father of Rebecca (Timothy) Moore, Leonard D. Jr (Sheri) Topley, and Emily (Nazmi) Hasan, and Daisy Mae (beloved companion).  Dear grandfather of Autumn Elizabeth, TJ, and Chrissy (Moore),  Leonard D. III (Topley), Gabby, Tabby, Abby, and Zabby (Hasan), Jessica Shields, and Nicole Messer.  Brother of Barbara Potts and Daniel Potts.  Great-grandfather of Dorian. 

Leonard was born in Punxsutawney, PA and was raised in Mahaffey, PA by his grandparents Effie and Ivan Lee. Leonard served in the United States Army, and bravely served his country in Vietnam. He was awarded a medal for good conduct. 

Leonard spent his early career in construction and branched into real estate; opening Topley Realty in 1970 and later Federal Security Investigations. Leonard earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent 45 years serving the area in appraisals and private investigations.  

Leonard spent his retirement with his beautiful bride of 56 years, his children, grandchildren and his loyal companion Daisy Mae.

Service Tuesday March 10, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles, PA.

    To the Topley Family , My heart goes out to all of you. I knew Leonard almost all my life. He was such a Kìnd Soul . He often drove my Mother up the hill to Church when she couldn’t walk.He always waved ,or gave me a ride when I needed one..I knew the wife and kids and they were a very respectful family..My Love and Prayers are with You All..Leonard Junior, you couldn’t ask for a better Father. KEEP STRONG GUY’S. God Bless.
