Mom- You were the BEST of all of us.
Dear Joyce, Mark and family thinking of you and wishing you moments of peace and comfort as you remember the beautiful life Betty lived. May the Love of our Lord’s grace bring you peace and solace in the memories you share.🩷
Dear Cummings Family, I cherish the memories of the time I spent as a child in your home. Your mother always welcomed us and fed anyone who happened to be there at meal times.
My mother looked forward to the card games that the neighborhood JUGs (“Just Us Girls”) shared when they were able to get away from their families for a few hours, a much needed respite from the constant responsibilities of raising big families.
I met JoAnn in first grade and still remember the darling straw hat with bow and streamers she wore that first day. Being the oldest children of our respective families, we has a special bond we still share today, 70 years later.
After all this time, I still can’t bring myself to call her “Betty”. She’ll always be “Mrs Cummings to me.
Love to all of you,
Rosemary

I knew Mrs. Cummings and her family loosely through St. Robert’s Church & School. I was volunteering at the polls in E. McKeesport for a friend and had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with her. She was one of the classiest people I ever met, and I felt privileged just to have that conversation. May she rest in peace.
