On-Site Crematory Since 1996   •   Your loved one never leaves our care.

Albert Gonzales Sr.

On Tuesday July 30, 2024, Albert age 81 of North Versailles passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  Son of the late Joseph and Mollie (Weiss) Gonzales. Beloved husband of the late Jane D. (Andres) Gonzales.  Loving Father of Denise Gonzales, Albert Jr. (Tiffany) Gonzales, and the late Taunya Gonzales-Wharton.  Dear Grandfather/Pappy of Colby, Ryken, Carter, and Brady. Albert was one of 12 children and is survived by brothers, Armand “Punch” Gonzales, Howard Gonzales, Carl Gonzales, and his sisters, Linda Micklo,  and Slyvia Hannen. Our Dad loved spending time with his family but he especially enjoyed snow-birding in Florida with his wife.  Nothing brought him more joy than sharing the plan of salvation and how much Jesus loves them with anyone Dad had the opportunity to meet. While we will certainly miss having our Dad and Pappy, we take great comfort in knowing he is in heaven rejoicing with his Savior. He has been reunited with the love of his life, Jane and his precious daughter, Taunya along with so many others that he was able to share his faith and testimony with. He is now healed and renewed.

Uncle Al loved his family, church and especially Aunt Jane. They both were devout in their faith and love. Many times, they went to lunch with some of us after church. You never had to guess what he wanted to drink Ginger Ale! Cause he was Ginger Al! But he is now back with the love of his life and renewed. It gave me such a great feeling to look at the two of them and see how deep their love for each other was. When he looked at Aunt Jane, you could see the love he felt for her and it was immense. The way my husband looked at me. Not everybody gets that. But they had a very long life together and will now have eternity in Heaven. You will be missed by many. God Speed, Uncle Al

I met Al at Irwin Assembly. He made me laugh every Sunday. We joked how Janie’s pocketbooks that he carried for her matched his outfit. When we went to lunch together, Al always ordered ginger ale. He became known as Ginger Al. He enjoyed telling the stories of his witnessing and praying for people. Al will be missed but I am definitely looking forward to seeing him again.

Al was a good friend and a committed Christian. I will never forget his dedicated and enthusiastic participation in the Upper Room Group. Al was always energetic and involved in that ministry. I know he is with the Lord now along with Jane. He was always a great example of what it meant to love Jesus!

Dear Linda & Punch Howard and Carl, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am lost for words. Al was a good guy and now he’s in a beautiful place in the arms of God. May you Rest In Peace, your work on earth is done.
