Frank Leo Gibala, 80, of North Versailles, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2024. He was born December 17, 1943, in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leo and Dorothy (Koslowski) Gibala. Beloved Husband of Sandra .L (Davis) Gibala. They were married for 57 years. Frank was employed with Westinghouse and retired from University of Pittsburgh. He also had a lifelong career playing polkas starting with the Bell Hops alongside his siblings. Playing the clarinet and saxophone, he played with many bands mainly with Henny and the Versa J’s from which he finally retired from music. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph T. Gibala. He is survived by his sons Francis R. Gibala, Timothy J. Gibala, Stephen J. (Amanda R. (Whelpley) Gibala; grandson, Michael K. Shaffer; brothers Ted, Ron and sister Jeannie; and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Arrangements
As per Frank’s request, the funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.

My husband and I enjoyed knowing Frank. We enjoyed dancing the polka and hearing Frank play. He brought much enjoyment to so many people with his talent. Frank and Henny are together again Thank you.
