Kathleen Ann (Pedder) Ortiz

Kathleen Ann (Pedder) Ortiz, 71, of North Versailles, passed away at home on Saturday, December 24, 2022 after a short illness. She was born in Greensburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Rush and Sarah Pedder of Penn Township. She was the beloved wife of Michael E. Ortiz, Sr., loving mother of Ronald (Tina) Edwards and Richard Lauffer, dear grandmother of Miranda Edwards, and great-grandmother of Lucianna Edwards. She was also the sister of Chuck Pedder of Greensburg and Keith Pedder of Latrobe, aunt of Rush (Niccole) and Carrie, and great-aunt of Scarlet, Destiny, Chance and Mackenzie. She will also be remembered by cousins, Judy Kratofil and Lois Henry.

Kathleen retired from Transitions North Huntingdon Health Care in 2016 where she was an employee for 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in New Stanton and more recently Temple of Faith in North Versailles. She had a joyful spirit and heart for God and prayed for everyone she could by name each night. She also enjoyed shopping at consignment and antique stores, dancing, tending her garden and house plants, and walking in the woods. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Arrangements

A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, December 30 at Temple of Faith, 1108 Jamison Avenue, North Versailles, PA 15137, 412-823-8290. The burial service will follow at 1 pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
