You have our sympathy may Anthony Rest In Peace
My deepest sympathy. I have the highest respect for our expert in contemporary piano music, Mr. D. May he be resting in God’s arms.
Having grown up with my cousin I have nothing but good memories and never a cross word. I marveled at his talent and truly believe he would have been a virtuoso as a soloist, yet he preferred to teach his students and accompany others to bring out the best in them. He created his own book of pedagogy to advance his students. He never received an honorary doctorate but he was more than worthy of it. An agent in New York deemed him outstanding in accompanying and asked him why he remained in Pittsburgh. I believe it was because of loyalty and unwillingness to get caught up in the whirlwind of traveling and scheduling and demands on his time and the peaceful calm of his soul. Enjoy accompanying the saints and angels in praise of God. R.I.P., cuz, with love.
