Frank J. Cindrich

On Thursday July 29, 2021 Frank J. age 84 of North Versailles passed away peacefully at home.  He was born July 31, 1936, in McKeesport, PA, to the late Joseph and Dragica (Luketic) Cindrich. Beloved husband of Helen (Thompson) Cindrich.  Loving father of Frank Cindrich, John Cindrich and Laura (Tommy) Meli.  Dear brother of Anne Pratt. Frank was preceded in death by brothers Matthew (late wife Alice), and George (late wife Dolly), sisters Mary Ann (late husband Emil Kandala), and Rose Junecko.  Frank was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked many years as a carpenter at U.S. Steel Edgar Thomson Works in Braddock, then at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh, from which he retired. He was also a professional cabinet maker and handyman who was skilled working with plumbing and auto repairs. He bowled in a league at Great Valley Lanes, and once bowled a 298. He was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 3 of McKeesport. Frank enjoyed traveling with Helen, and they made several trips to the Marian apparition site in Medjugorje. He volunteered as a baseball coach and Boy Scout leader. He was tireless in doing household repairs for friends, neighbors, and relatives, and plowed neighbors’ driveways in the winter with his ATV. He was a deer hunter for many years. He also enjoyed watching golf and Penguins hockey, and was an excellent dancer.
