It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Paul Bernhardy. Son of the late Clarence and Helen Bernhardy. Dennis departed this life on Tuesday evening, December 15, 2020 at his home in East McKeesport, PA.
Dennis was born June 10, 1939 in East McKeesport, PA. He graduated in 1957 from East McKeesport High School. He then went on to follow in his father’s footsteps of carpentry and employment with the National Tube Works Mill in McKeesport. Dennis was actively involved in his community, a devoted Christian and member of Linway United Presbyterian Church, a member of the Freemasons, delivered for Meals-On-Wheels for many years, decades-long member with multiple volunteer fire departments, a steadfast leader in multiple youth sport programs, and most importantly, a dedicated father and husband.
Dennis is survived by and leaves his memories to his wife Mary Lou Bernhardy, his sister Lettie (Alonzo) Muenk, daughter Diane (Ronce) Randolph, his four sons, Mark (Rosemary) Nicholson, Donald (Betsy), Brian (Kimberly), and Kenneth (Sandy) Bernhardy, cousins Paul and Elaine McDonald, nephew Jeffrey Muenk, niece Tracey Stewart, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and hundreds of friends.
Arrangements
A memorial service will be announced in the near future once THEY allow us to gather to celebrate the love, devotion, and memories of our great father and husband.

My thoughts and prayers are being sent your way Mary Lou and family that God will comfort you all in your loss. . I pray for strength to be sent your way to give you the ability to make it through this difficult time. I wish you peace to bring you comfort, the courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to hold in your heart forever.
My heart goes out to your entire family. I have so many fond memories of Mr. B throughout my life. He never hesitated to treat me like a second daughter and bear hug me whenever we saw each other. A wonderful man who will be deeply missed. Cherish the memories and love each other as he loved you all. Please know you all are in my prayers.
