Eleanor (Hotovcin) Melko, age 85 of Swissvale went to her eternal rest on January 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Albert Melko. She was a dedicated mother to their 9 children William Melko, Mary Melko, Gloria Melko Swope, Donna (Ron) Lutz, Gregory (Mary Matvey) Melko, Joseph Melko, Elizabeth (Michael) O’Parka, Christine Melko, and Daniel (Christa Starrett) Melko. Grandmother of Holly Button, Benjamin, and Christopher Swope, and Michele, Michael, Sarah, and Sean Melko. Great grandmother of Mya Nicole and Willow Rose. Eleanor was the matriarch of the Melko family and loved by countless nieces and nephews. We remember Eleanor for her jokes, polka dancing, and strong political opinions. She was an avid reader of books, champion scrabble player and could finish any crossword puzzle. Eleanor was a lifetime member of St Barnabas Roman Catholic Church (Word of God Parish). She was dedicated to the Lord and we are at peace knowing that she lives amongst angels.
