Age 97, of Bethel Park, PA. Fil passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Son of the late Carmina (Lavella) and William Trozzi. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Theresa (Barbaro); father of Leslie and James (Debby); grandfather of James, Jr., Michael, Christopher, and Lisa; brother of the late Henry, Vincent, Frank, Emrich, and Ben. He was born and raised in Bloomfield and graduated from Schenley High School. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre from 1940 – 1945. He worked at LTV Steel Company in Hazelwood until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed all sports especially baseball and football. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends along with trips to the casino. Our family wants to thank Heartland Hospice Services for their compassionate care. There will be no viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Valentine Church, 2710 Ohio St. in Bethel Park on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. He will be buried in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, in Bridgeville, at a later date.
