ANDY-MITNIK-2015On Friday August 14, 2015, Andy Mitnik, Jr age 86 of North Versailles, passed away suddenly. Son of the late Andrew and Anna Mitnik. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Mildred Mitnik. Also brothers George, Albert, Mike, Bob, and sisters Florence and Anna. Loving father of Karen (Dominic) Cicco, Kenny (Darlene) Mitnik, both of N. Versailles, Kevin (Beth) Mitnik of Level Green, and the late Mary Ann Mitnik. Grandfather of Phillip (Rebecca) Cicco, Valerie Cicco, Megan and Emily Mitnik; Great-Grandfather of Colin and Adeline Cicco. Survived by Brother Al, Sisters Mary (Jimmy) Sljva, Pauline (Joe) Korotko and Sister-in-laws Inge Mitnik and Barbara Mitnik also numerous nieces and nephews. A proud WW2 veteran, Andy served 2 years in the Navy and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (W4) after 40 years in the U.S. Army. Andy also spent 40 years as an electrician with US Steel Edgar Thomson Works and 16 years with the East Allegheny School District.
